Part 36: Will this ever happen..?

If I recollect, I can remember only few songs, which were shot at Hampi. Among Tamil movies I can recollect only two first one ‘Theendai’ song of ‘En Swara Katre’ and another one ‘En Anbe’ song of ‘Mounam Pesiyade.’

In Kannada they have used those locations in two films. Out of them one song will always stay in my heart. If you listen to the song of course it will be your favourite song too. In the movie they have used the tracks two times in S.P.B and Chitra’s voice. It reflects the loneliness and the expectations regarding the friend who may enter in the future life and a call for him.It’s quite difficult to translate exactly those lines.

While sitting on the ‘Mahanavami Dibba’ (A huge rockplatform named as Durbarhall). I just felt in a deep thought. ‘If my best pals were here!!’

I don’t know why there was an unavoidable pain in my heart when I thought about my friends. Don’t laugh but really that day while thinking about my future friends I hummed these lines of the song, composed by Hamsalekha and sung by one of my all time favourite singer S.P.Balasubramnyam.( Movie: Belli Kalungura').

‘If I become a director by mistake I would surely come here for the shooting along with my best friends. This is for sure.’ I felt so on that day.

Why shall I hide? Frankly I wanted to come once again with Kenny to visit Hampi? But why? What was the reason? Whether deep inside my heart I wanted to see him as my friend? No, not at all I feel. But the real reason was deep inside my heart through my director’s mind I wanted to see him portraying the brilliant role of Sri Allama!

Will this ever happen? Only time would tell but one thing is sure, a flight of fancy can take an artistic person to any heights. Am I right..?
