Part 5: A Question; still unanswered!!

I was coming back from the railway station. While coming back I met my classmate (who was my neighbour as well) Shaakir, who used to work as part time driver along with his studies. He was going out of station. Then I came to know that he is going to pick up the customers.

I questioned him, ‘When you will be back?’

He replied, ‘The place where I am going is quite far, Hari. It will take 3 days to come back.

I said, ‘Take care while driving, Shaakir, Okay?

Then he replied, ‘For me its normal, Hari, you don’t worry. We will meet again. See you’ and left.

Next day early morning we heard the news that Shaakir has been murdered!

I was shocked. I just couldn’t believe it. Later we came to know that the people who had hired his taxi took him to an unknown area and killed him. And escaped with the car stereo. Just for one car stereo they had killed him! Is human life is so cheap? What kind of a people they were? Oh god! What happened to this people?

I really could not see Shaakir’s parents face that day. He was the one and only one son for them. A son who was so young and who was supposed to take care of his parents in the future was in the form of a dead body that day. Who is responsible for it?

He had told me that we would meet again just a day before. And very next day he was no more.

Just a difference of a day. So soon all these things can happen?

His words were still in my ears, ‘We will meet again.’

AGAIN?

When??Where??

Question was left unanswered!

That day I realised a fact.

Sometimes we should not ask questions at all because for few questions there will not be any answer. Questions would remain just as questions.

After all life itself will be sometimes a big question mark!

  1. "Questions would remain just as questions." - Perfect! Yes, certain questions remain in our heart without any reply, slowly get depreciated and looses their identity one day!!
Just reading about Shakir's death gave me such a big shock. and people without even thinking about the uncertainty in Life, behave so very bad to others! This also we are seeing!
